Have you heard of or read the Cosmic Serpent? I read it about 10 years ago so I am unsure if it has since been updated. It is written by an ethnobiologist who studied the uses of plants in the Amazon for over 10 years. His theory is that plants carry knowledge and pass it on. It is a fantastic book.
